Re-Elect Anna Eastman Office Still Open!

** Update: Due to COVID-19 concerns, the Governor has moved the runoff election to July 14, with early voting July 6-10

Thanks to your hard work and support, we were the top vote getter last night! While we had a commanding lead, we fell short of the 50% needed to avoid a run-off. So I ask for your support as I head into a runoff on July 14. 

You may be asking, How did that happen? I thought we just elected Anna? We’ve voted for her 3 times already!

Allow me to explain:

In November, Anna was the top vote getter in the special election to replace Rep. Farrar and serve for the remainder of her unfinished term- through 2020. While Anna had the most votes, she did not receive the 50% needed to avoid a runoff. In January, there was a runoff for that special election, and Anna won with over 65% of the vote- making her the current State Representative. 

There is still a 2020 election to fill the seat for the next two-year term. Yesterday was the March 3 Democratic Primary, and again, Anna was the top vote getter, however, she did not receive the 50% needed to avoid a runoff. Therefore, she now faces a runoff election on July 14. You, the voters, will get to vote for Anna Eastman 4 times in 8 months, and Anna gets the opportunity to win 4 times! 

In each of these elections, Anna has been the voters’ top choice. Now, she needs to get to the important work of serving her constituents as representative.
